Clean Label for Dogs
We select. We don’t make.
We say no to 90% of what we assess. The rest ends up here.
Why we exist
We couldn’t find it. So we built it.
Petique started from a simple frustration: we wanted genuinely clean treats and supplements for Nova, our whippet, and the market handed us long ingredient lists that even we couldn't read. Vague derivatives, added flavourings, sugars hidden behind technical names, the same industrial recipe in dozens of packages.
So we stopped looking and built the place that was missing. Petique selects, it doesn't manufacture. We don't invent recipes and we don't put a logo on whatever suits us commercially; from among verified producers, we choose only what passes a standard we apply without exception.
The standard
Would we give it to Nova?
It's the only filter that counts in the end, and it's harsher than it sounds. We don't ask whether a product is acceptable, or whether it sells well. We ask whether we'd put it in Nova's bowl ourselves tonight.
For us, curating doesn't mean more products, it means the nerve to say no. We'd rather have a short shelf you trust completely than a long one where you pick your way carefully between compromises.
01 · We read the label
The whole ingredient list, in order. Vague terms (“derivatives”, “flavourings”) mean no.
02 · We check the origin
A producer with documented traceability. Without a confirmed source, it doesn’t get in.
03 · It passes the Nova test
The in-house filter: would we give it to Nova herself, tonight? A yes with reservations is a no.
04 · We turn down the rest
Roughly nine products out of ten don’t pass. They stay on the rejected list, on your behalf.
What reaches you. And what doesn’t.

The sources
Producers, one at a time.
We don't buy from whoever is cheapest or fastest, but from producers we have vetted ourselves. Today, most of our treats come from producers in Poland and Estonia, chosen for consistent quality and because they document what they make. Our grooming products come from the USA, and our leather accessories from Germany.
The list grows deliberately, not opportunistically. Every new producer is evaluated against the same standard before reaching the shelf. We add a source only after it clears every step, not because it exists. We'd rather grow slowly and be able to stand behind every partner.
Who chooses
Petique is a small project, started from a simple need and run by hand. We read every label, talk to the producers and choose together. No committee, no department deciding what sells best. Just us and Nova, the dog it all started for. We put our name on everything on the shelf.
We don't just want you to buy from us, we want you to choose knowingly. That's why we explain what the ingredients on the pack mean and how your dog's size or age translates into the right choice. A customer who understands why they're choosing something stays out of trust, not confusion.

Your dog doesn’t read labels. We do.
Tell us a few details about them: size, age, sensitivities. We select from the catalogue what suits them.
