Himalayan cheese chews for dogs are a hard cheese made from three ingredients: cow's milk from the Himalayas, salt and lemon juice. It hardens as it dries and becomes a dense chew that keeps a dog busy for a long time.

How to choose the size

The piece should match your dog's size so it cannot be swallowed whole. The dimensions are written on every product:

  • S: 6–10 cm, approx. 25–50 g, small dogs
  • L: 13–16 cm, approx. 86–120 g, large dogs
  • XL: 14–18 cm, approx. 121–150 g, large dogs
  • XXL: 15–20 cm, approx. 151–185 g, large dogs, for determined chewers

Size S also comes in flavoured versions: strawberry, blueberry or mint.

Himalayan cheese for dogs: how to give it

Offer it as a chew, under supervision, and always leave fresh water within reach. When the piece gets small, take it away and heat it for 30–60 seconds, as written on the product page: it puffs up into a crunchy piece, with no hard leftover to swallow. Himalayan cheese is a hard chew, so it is for adult dogs.

Ingredients and allergens

The list has three ingredients: cow's milk from the Himalayas, salt, lemon juice. The product page says it is lactose-free and gluten-free, high in protein and low in fat. It contains milk proteins, so if your dog has a health condition or a dairy allergy, ask your vet first.
